how i invite personal power with my yoga practice

humbled

I am humbled by many of life's experiences. This extends into my yoga practice, despite the fact that I'm a yoga teacher. I always remain a yoga student. As a teacher, it's my mission to always learn from my teachers and students. And there are situations that seem to occur in my life, as if concocted just for me to see and experience.

Continually learning is a sign of confidence, I believe. I never know it all. This is my yoga philosophy.

always a student

Even with myself, I am always a student of my own mind, continually needing to clear that which gets in the way of knowing that I can accomplish anything I desire in life.

I hope to model yoga's life-changing qualities for my students. Even though we are, in a certain sense, perfect just the way we are, there is always room for growth and one more lesson.

Who wouldn't want to be on the path that constantly offers gems of understanding and open doors, although sometimes disguised as obstacles? Once revealed, the frustrations vanish and there is clarity and a full heart.

I believe that when we allow our bodies and minds to travel to their edges—in the shelter that yoga provides, we give ourselves the gift of personal transformation.

Injury is always harmful and dangerous to our health. Every day we come to news related to any type of injury. In TV, Newspaper, Internet we found a news on injury of celebrity. Beside it normal people got injured every day. Now it becomes a day to day activity. So we should give our concentration towards it and try our best to reduce it.

Nice post! Well said, that you always want to learn something from your students and your teachers. I am so inspired from it as learning is good activity. We always try to learn from our elders and younger.

As you said, continue learning is a sign of confidence, and we all need to take that philosophy a chance, because we all say "I don't know everything", and that's true, we don't know everything and we never will, and it has to be that way, if we would know everything, life would lose all sense. But most people say that as a way to justify their laziness. I know that sometimes I do it too, but I'm changing it by being aware of my thoughts and actions. Nice post.

thanks for your comment. i agree on the importance of protecting ourselves from injury. yoga can be a great way to go slowly and monitor your own pace, while also being a place to nurture injuries back to health.
